Trusco Nakayama Corporation: [Case Study on the Introduction of Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV)]

Achieve labor-saving and efficiency in inventory management! Custom design enables the towing of existing carts and hand trucks.

We would like to introduce a case study of the introduction of an Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) at Trusco Nakayama Corporation's Planet Saitama (Logistics Center). Due to the vast space of approximately 200 meters in length and four layers, the time and effort required for product transportation, such as inbound and outbound logistics, became more challenging than ever. There was a demand for equipment that could automatically transport heavy products in place of human labor. As a solution, we introduced our Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV). After the introduction, we achieved labor-saving and efficiency improvements in product transportation for inbound and outbound logistics. The centralized control system (AOS) allows for the analysis of travel data, enabling further efficiency improvements during operation. [Case Study] ■ Background of Introduction - The vast logistics center, measuring approximately 200 meters in length, posed significant challenges in terms of the labor and time required for product transportation. ■ Reasons for Selection - We were able to develop an AGV tailored to our needs, enabling the towing of existing carts and hand trucks. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Muto Co., Ltd. [Case Study on the Introduction of Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV)]

AGVs assist with picking in conjunction with the warehouse management system! Virtual conveyor realized.

We would like to introduce a case study on the introduction of an Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) system at Muto Co., Ltd.'s Tokyo SPD Center. Due to business expansion, we moved to a new warehouse that is three times larger, which also increased the transportation distance for inbound and outbound logistics by three times, leading to increased physical strain on workers. Additionally, amidst a societal labor shortage, there was a demand for improvements in automation and efficiency in operations. In response, we implemented our Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) system. After the implementation, the warehouse management system and AOS collaborated, allowing the AGV to lead to the picking items, thus covering the differences in worker capabilities. Automated transportation during inbound and outbound logistics was achieved, reducing the burden on workers. [Case Study] ■ Background of Implementation - Significant increase in the volume of handled goods amidst a labor shortage - Transportation distance tripled due to the move to the new center ■ Reasons for Selection - Does not hinder the delivery of goods during disasters or power outages - Can be controlled in conjunction with the warehouse management system *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
